The Soroptimist International of Leigh and District hosted an International Women’s Day event at the Pennington Wharf community hub today – and Jo Platt MP went along to help celebrate local women.
Throughout this International Women’s Day event, there were talks and performances that celebrated the achievements of women. The event also highlighted the issues that women face.
As well as informative talks and performances, there was the chance to shop. Local tradespeople were in attendance, with stalls selling a range items.
