Leigh and Atherton MP – Jo Platt – spoke to Home Secretary – Yvette Cooper MP about the urgent need for stronger neighbourhood policing to keep our communities safe and better protect retail workers from abuse.
Jo said: “Retail workers play a vital role in our towns and cities, and they deserve to feel protected at work. I’m pleased to see positive steps being taken locally, with Leigh and Atherton set to see an increase in neighbourhood officers.
“Visibility matters, and it’s great to know we’re moving in the right direction.”
