Jo Platt MP hosted MNDA’s Global MND Awareness Day event in Parliament this week – which was a powerful opportunity to hear directly from those affected by MND about their experiences living with the condition every day.

The event gathered MPs to call for urgent action: faster testing, better support, and timely access to ground-breaking treatments like Tofersen. This treatment offers real hope, but only if it is made available to everyone who needs it.

Jo Platt said: “It was inspiring to see the strength, resilience and courage of the community.

“This brutal disease has touched the lives of so many around me. I’ve seen first hand how devastating and relentless it can be for individuals and their families.

“I stand with the MND community, and I am committed to doing all that I can both locally and in Parliament to drive this fight forward for meaningful change.”
