Wigan Council is currently consulting on an initial draft of the Wigan Borough Local Plan – and local MP Jo Platt is urging residents to have their say on it.

The consultation is looking at 2040 plan for Leigh, Atherton, Tyldesley, Lowton, Golborne, Astley and the wider geographical area that’s served by Wigan Council.

Jo Platt says: “This is an opportunity for residents, businesses and other stakeholders to have their say about the future of Leigh, Atherton, Tyldesley, Lowton, Golborne and the wider Wigan borough.

“This plan includes specific policies around homes, jobs, towns and local centres, transport, places, environment and people.”
