Resolving issues, unlocking support, and making sure no resident is left behind is an integral part of being a constituency MP.
Here are a few of the casework wins from this week:
Securing Disability Support
Jo secured Disability Living Allowance for a child diagnosed with ADHD. This unlocked an additional £202.23 per week for the family through DLA and Universal Credit enhancements.
Improving Mental Health Care
After raising concerns with the ICB, Jo ensured a young resident now receives timely and appropriate mental health treatment.
Getting Money Back
Jo helped a resident in a local authority leasehold property recover overpaid service charges – resulting in a full refund.
Tackling Environmental Issues
Jo worked with the local authority to report and resolve multiple fly-tipping incidents and addressed vermin problems in several neighbourhoods.
Helping with Housing Needs
Jo supported an elderly couple with health issues in securing a move to a home better suited to their needs.
Delivering Results
Last month alone, Jo and her team handled over 550 pieces of casework – most of which have now been successfully resolved.
