Today, Jo Platt spoke in a Debate in Parliament on bank closures and banking hubs highlighting the importance of having physical banks in our communities. She spoke up due to particular concerns regarding banking access in Golborne and Atherton.

For a long time, banks have been pillars of our high streets – supporting local businesses, sustaining jobs and driving regional growth and economic stability. As closures continue, Jo stressed that we must guarantee people’s banking needs are properly met. She also urged the Government to consider including credit unions, a co-operative model of banking, in its wider financial inclusion strategy.
