During the Culture, Media, and Sport Select Committee, Jo asked the Chief Executive of Sport England what work he is doing to streamline the funding application process for grassroot sports organisations.
Jo said: “I was thrilled to shoutout the outstanding talent nurtured by Leigh Boxing & Fitness Gym, while also stressing the importance of increasing awareness about available funding and offering support throughout the application process.
“I am pleased Sport England recognise access to funding as a barrier for many grassroot sports organisations and is looking into how the process can be simplified.”
