To mark the Global MND Awareness Day next month, Jo Platt – the MP for Leigh and Atherton – is honoured to sponsor the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA)’s parliamentary event. The focus of the event is on the ‘Hidden Realities of MND’.
During the event, the MNDA will be asking its community to share what they wish people knew about MND. Time will also be taken to pay respects to the people who are no longer with us, but are always remembered.
Jo Platt said: “I know all too well the profound effects this brutal disease has on individuals and their families.
“This is an issue that is close to my heart, and I hope this event will be an opportunity to unite MPs, campaigners, and the MND community in Parliament to discuss how we can better support people living with MND, their carers and families.”
MNDA are a brilliant organisation advocating for essential care, research and support. Click here to find out more about the Global MND Awareness Day and the work that the MNDA does.
