Here are a few of the casework wins from this week:
Securing Benefits
Jo secured £83.30/week Carer’s Allowance + 12 weeks backpay for a resident caring for her husband. She also secured Council Tax Discount for a constituent suffering with dementia alongside Attendance Allowance, giving the resident over £6000 per year in additional income.
Resolving Child Maintenance Issues
A resident contacted Jo for help with a child maintenance case where the non-resident parent wasn’t complying. This has now been resolved.
Pushing The Home Office
Jo got the Home Office to expedite an asylum interview after long delays.
Assisting With Housing Issues
Jo helped a resident moving after a Section 21 notice get Household Support Fund for food and energy.
Fixing Parking Problems
Jo has had multiple private parking fines cancelled for a local resident.
