A Fresh Start
Jo secured new accommodation for a constituent who had been homeless for two years. Thanks to additional support, the property will also be fitted with carpets and blinds to meet their specific vulnerabilities – offering not just shelter, but dignity and comfort.
Boosting Financial Support
Jo supported a constituent to apply for Attendance Allowance, resulting in an extra £110.40 per week, backdated by three months. This vital support will help ease the burden of daily living costs.
Supporting Young Learners
A young person struggling in their current school has now been successfully transferred to a more suitable educational setting, thanks to an in-year school transfer that Jo helped to arrange.
Fighting for Fairness
After a long wait, Jo helped a constituent recovered £11,000 in overpaid income tax from HMRC. It’s a reminder that persistence pays off – and that no one should be left chasing what they’re owed.
Speeding Up Probate
Jo helped to expedite a probate case, allowing a grieving family to move forward with the closure and clarity they needed.
Winning School Places
Jo successfully supported a local family through a school admission appeal, securing a place for their child at their preferred school.
