Jo Platt says: “I’m proud to be a Dementia Research Champion, working with Alzheimer’s Research UK and I am committed to standing up for the people in Leigh and Atherton that are living with dementia and supporting vital research for a cure.
“Dementia is currently the leading cause of death in the UK. Without urgent action, one in two people will be directly impacted – whether by developing the condition, caring for someone who has it, or both.
“As a Dementia Research Champion, I proudly stand with Alzheimer’s Research UK to advocate for earlier diagnosis, improved treatments, and greater investment in research to transform the future of dementia in the UK.”
