In her work as Chair of the for Greater Manchester All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG), Jo Platt went to Stockport, to learn more about their £1 billion regeneration programme.
Stockport is currently undergoing a transformation programme that spans over 280 acres, to the east of the town centre.
The £1 billion investment is being made to make Stockport a place that attracts individuals and business to live, work, play and connect.
Jo Platt said: “We arranged a visit to Stockport to meet with councillors, council officers and GM stakeholders to learn more about their £1 billion regeneration programme. Lots of inspiration taken away to help enact positive change locally.”
By bringing together political and business leaders, the Greater Manchester APPG aims to build consensus and drive investment and growth, benefiting communities across Greater Manchester. This collaborative effort is focused on fostering economic development and enhancing the quality of life for residents throughout the area.
