Jo Platt – the MP for Leigh and Atherton – visited Year 4 pupils at Hindsford C of E Primary School in Atherton today.
During the visit, Jo learnt more about the pupils’ involvement in the Send My Friend Project – which asks for more action on supporting the education of children across the world who have been impacted by conflict, climate change, food crises, forced displacement and the aftermath of COVID-19.
Jo Platt said: “It was fantastic to join the children at Hindsford C of E Primary School in Atherton, to learn more about the pupils involvement in the Send My Friend Project. There was such brilliant and creative work on show!”
A representative from Hindsford C of E Primary School, said: “We were very proud of our Year 4 class when they were visited by Jo Platt to talk about the right for all children to be educated.
“It was a lovely to have Jo visit the children and we are very grateful to her for taking the time to come and speak with them.”
