Today, Jo Platt MP met with the British Copyright Council (BCC) in Parliament.
Jo Platt, who is a member of the Culture, Media and Sport Committee, met with BCC to discuss how the organisation can support and inform the work of the committee.
The BCC represents the voices of over 500,000 creators, from across the full spectrum of creative and cultural industries in the UK. It collectively represents those who create, hold interests, manage rights and licensed access to works of creativity.
Members of BCC include individual creators, as well as professional associations, industry bodies, trade unions and collecting societies.
Jo Platt said: “It order to drive change, Committees in Parliament need to be informed by those that are on the ground. That’s why I was only too happy to meet up with the British Copyright Council in Parliament today. I’m looking forward to collaborating with them over the coming months and years.”
