Jo Platt MP met up with one of her all-time football heroes in Parliament today – Bryan Robson – who was there alongside Radiotherapy UK.
Radiotherapy UK has a 10-year vision for radiotherapy, to save the lives of cancer patients in the UK.
Bryan is a Patron for the charity, which is urging the Government to adopt the 10-year plan, and to give focus to screening, for people to attend screening appointments and to get checked if they have any symptoms.
Jo Platt MP said: “It was great to attend this event to hear more about Radiotherapy UK’s 10-year vision, to speak to the report authors and to hear first hand from radiotherapy patients.
“On a personal note, as a lifelong Manchester United fan, it was also amazing to meet Bryan Robson – aka Captain Marvel.”
