Last night, Jo Platt – the MP for Leigh and Atherton – attended the National Autistic Society’s parliamentary reception to launch the new ‘A Constant Fight’ report.

Jo was asked to attend the event on behalf of one of her constituents.

During the event, there were speeches from Minister Stephen Kinnock MP and Marie Tidball MP, as members of the National Autistic Society’s Policy and Campaigns team.

The report – A Constant Fight: the reality of autistic people’s struggle for support across health and social care, education, employment, and mental healthdraws on the experiences of autistic people. It reveals the complex challenges that autistic people face whilst attempting to access appropriate support across key areas. It also looks at what can be done to fix these issues.

Whilst at the event, Jo spoke directly to those that had provided case studies for the report.
