Today, Jo Platt attended a drop-in with Associated British Foods – which owns Leigh-based Patak’s.
Jo Platt attended to show her support for the local business – Patak’s – which produces Indian-style curry pastes, sauces and spices.
Whilst at the event, Jo spoke to the Associated British Foods team about the Leigh site, as well as wider issues and opportunities that are facing the agri-food industry.
Since the drop in, Jo has arranged a site visit, so she can see the Patak’s operation for herself. She will meet with managers to hear about the work they do in the local community and to further discuss the matters raised at the drop-in, such as the Industrial Strategy and the impact of business rates on the high street.
