Leigh and Atherton MP – Jo Platt – met with the with Bryonie Shaw – the Chief Executive Officer of Age UK Wigan Borough.

Age UK Wigan Borough helps people aged 50 and over, that live in Leigh and Atherton,  to improve the quality of their lives. They offer a range of services, to help people to tackle problems such as financial worries, social isolation and loneliness. The team also offer support so people can remain in their homes.

Jo Platt said: “I met with Bryonie to discuss ways that we can better support older residents in Leigh and Atherton.

“Age UK does some important work, but they could be better supported by government – and it was great to hear Bryonie’s insights into the improvements that could be made.”
