A teacher from Fred Longworth High School in Tyldesley is heading down to Westminster to train as a UK Parliament Teacher Ambassador.
The UK Parliament Teacher Ambassador Programme is a development opportunity, that gives teachers the opportunity to become an accredited partner of the UK Parliament Education and Engagement Team.
It is a three-day training experience, down in Parliament, where teachers hear from Members and colleagues working in key roles across UK Parliament. It also gives teachers the opportunity to network with teachers from across the UK.
Jo Platt, the MP for Leigh and Atherton, said: “I look forward to welcoming Miss Causby, from Fred Longworth High School, in Westminster next week. She is there to train as a UK Parliament Teacher Ambassador.
“Engaging with the work of UK Parliament is crucial to developing students’ understanding of democracy.”
