Jo Platt, the MP for Leigh and Atherton, has committed to voting in favour of the Children’s Wellbeing and Schools Bill later today. This Bill is a chance to bring forward the biggest child protection reforms in a generation.
As well as safeguarding, the Bill will deliver:
- Fully-funded free school breakfast clubs.
- A cap on the number of branded school uniform items – saving £500 per child.
- High standards in schools.
- Breaking down barriers to opportunity, so all children can thrive.
