Jo Platt MP for Leigh and Atherton

An All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on ME has been set up – and Leigh and Atherton MP – Jo Platt has need named as the group’s Chair.
ME is a chronic post-viral illness affecting 1.3 million people in the UK.
The APPG aims to be a cross-party voice in Westminster, helping to build change for people with Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME). It seeks to improve health, social care, education and employment opportunities for ME sufferers and encourage biomedical research into the cause and treatment of ME.
Jo Platt, MP for Leigh and Atherton, said: “I’m thrilled to be elected Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on ME.
“I’m looking forward to working with this cross-party Group to improve health, social care, education, and employment opportunities for those living with ME. I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has joined us.”
