Targeted action to combat anti-social behaviour has been taking place in Leigh town centre, following reports from the local community.
The operation brought together GMP, council trading standards, housing, and community resilience teams, who carried out warrants at several residential and business properties in the area.
Jo Platt said: “It’s encouraging to see our local authorities taking action to close in on those responsible for fuelling anti-social behaviour and working to make our community safer.
Residents are also playing an important role too – by reporting crime to the police and helping to prevent further crimes being committed.
“I was clear in my campaign that we need to rid our town centre of ASB – the only way to make this happen is by working together – and it is great to see that happening.”
