Jo Platt MP for Leigh and Atherton

Jo Platt went to a meeting at the People’s Postcode Lottery to discuss the projects they’ve supported in the Leigh and Atherton constituency.
The People’s Postcode Lottery award grants of between £500 and £25,000 to support smaller charities and local community groups that are working for the benefit of people and planet.
Round three for the 2024 Postcode Neighbourhood Trust closed on 2 October, 2024, and from Round there, there were 85 successful groups, with a total funding amount of £1,392,449 distributed.
During the meeting, Jo also spoke to the team about the Gambling Act 2005 (Monetary Limits for Lotteries Bill), which will make it easier for charity lotteries to raise more money, and put more money into community projects.
