Jo Plat me up with Cats Protection in Parliament earlier today, to discuss the important work the charity is doing in Leigh and Atherton.
Cats Protection is the UK’s leading cat welfare charity. It aims to make life better for cats and the people who care for them and it has been in operation almost 100 years.
Jo said: “Through its network of over 210 volunteer-run branches and 34 centres, Cats Protection helps an average of 157,000 cats and kittens each year.
“The Leigh and Atherton branch is ran by a small team of dedicated, cat-loving volunteers that are passionate about improving the lives of cats and kittens. They work hard to find loving new homes for local cats and lost-and-found cats.
“It was great to hear about the work that Cats Protection are doing centrally and their plans for the next 12 months.”
