Leigh Spinners Mill held a special Christmas Open Day today (Saturday 30 November, 2024) and local MP Jo Platt was there to support the event.
Jo, who was General Manager at Leigh Spinners Mill, before being elected as Leigh and Atherton’s MP, was keen to support the businesses, community groups and the creatives that work together to make the mill a success.
The public was invited to attend to meet Santa, to go on an elf hunt and to visit the Makers Market. Various creative workshops also took place throughout the day and visitors were treated to live music – from local chart toppers – The Lottery Winners.
Jo Platt said: “I got to meet so many superstars today, at the Leigh Spinners Mill Christmas Open Day – yet I still didn’t get to say hello to every business there.
“Highlights from the day included a beautiful acoustic set by our very own The Lottery Winners – and a meeting with Kermit and a Beast. What more could you want? I’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone involved – it was such a great day, showcasing everything that the Mill does.”
