Paddy Power and Prostate Cancer regularly team up and next month they will launch the Bigger 180 campaign, where they will be raising money for – and encouraging men – to check out their risk of prostate cancer.

With the Bigger 180 campaign, Paddy Power will give £180,000 to Prostate Cancer UK every time there’s a nine-darter thrown at the 2024/25 Paddy Power World Darts Championship. The money raised from the campaign will support Prostate Cancer UK’s TRANSFORM trial – a ground-breaking research project that Prostate Cancer UK hope will pave the way for a national screening programme.

Jo Platt, the MP for Leigh and Atherton, said: “The partnership between Paddy Power and Prostate Cancer UK is really important.

“One in eight men get prostate cancer and your risk is even higher if you’re over 50, if you’re Black or if you have a family history of the disease. Finding it early, when it’s easier to treat, is critical to saving lives, so campaigns like this, that put the spotlight on the illness, could help to save lives.

“I’d like to thank Paddy Power and Prostate Cancer UK for inviting me along to the ‘Westminster Darts Championship’ in Parliament today – it was a lot of fun.”
