On Monday 25 November, the Creative Industries Council hosted a Parliamentary Reception and Jo Platt – the MP for Leigh and Atherton – attended.
The event was a celebration of the UK’s creative industries and their contribution to British culture and the economy.
During the reception, Jo learnt about the work of the Creative Industries Council, which included its worth with Government to support further growth, impact and opportunities across the sector – which is worth around £125bn.
Jo Platt said: “I attended a Creative Industries event today, which gave me an opportunity to learn more about the work of the Creative Industries Council.
“I enjoyed catching up with the British Film Institute (BFI), amongst others, on how they can support our creative industries in Leigh and Atherton.”
