Jo Platt visited Hindsford Primary School in Atherton to chat about her role as a Member of Parliament.
Jo’s visit coincided with UK Parliament Week (UKPW) – which this year runs from 18-24 November.
UKPW is an annual event, which seeks to inform and educate people about the work and role of the UK Parliament.
Schools and other groups are encouraged to get involved with the initiative. If they sign up, they will receive a free digital kit with resources including a booklet, a ballot box, bunting, and a unique Give Way card game.
The children at Hindsford Primary School had prepared a range of questions for their local MP. They were interested in hearing about Jo’s weekly routine and the ways she helps her constituents.
Jo Platt said: “It was fantastic to meet the children at Hindsford CE Primary School yesterday as part of Parliament Week. They asked so many great questions and they had so much enthusiasm for their school and the local community.”
