Citizens Advice has now been helping people that live in Leigh and Atherton for over 85 years and earlier today, the team met up to celebrate the landmark.
Local MP – Jo Platt – joined the Citizens Advice team, to congratulate them on the achievement.
Jo Platt said: “The Citizens Advice staff and volunteers are incredible. I’d like to express my heartfelt gratitude for their unwavering dedication and the contribution they have made to our community. Over the years, they have made a huge difference to peoples’ lives.”
Citizens Advice Wigan Borough – which covers Wigan, Leigh and Makerfield – first opened its doors in 1939, on the 24th September. Since then, the team has helped hundreds of thousands of residents with countless different issues.
