Jo met with The Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) to find out more about what the group’s members in Leigh and Atherton would like to see the Government do to support community pubs and local breweries.
The event was deliberately held ahead the Budget, which is due to take place at the end of the month, on Wednesday 30 October, 2024.
CAMRA is a volunteer-led, not-for-profit consumer organisation representing pub goers. It has over 145,000 members across the UK and active local branches in every community.
Jo Platt said: “I was only too happy to back The Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA).
“Local beer and traditional British pubs and clubs help to form part of the fabric of our communities, so it’s important that we all support this industry where we can.”
