Earlier this week, Jo Platt met with GM Moving, Greater Manchester partners and Sport England CEO Tim Hollingsworth. The group met up to renew their previous partnership, aimed to tackle health inequalities in Greater Manchester.
The meeting took place at Leigh Sports Village, where the group discussed how they planned to continue to work together to deliver opportunities for residents across Greater Manchester, enabling people to live more active lives.
Jo Platt, the MP for Leigh and Atherton, said: “It was a real pleasure to be part of the discussions around regeneration, building partnerships and community engagement, and I look forward to continuing these conversations on behalf of the residents of Leigh and Atherton.
“Improving the wellbeing of residents is very important. We may also find the next Keely Hodgkinson, Ella Toone or Greg Warburton along the way.”
