The Uniformity Project, that provides free recycled school uniforms, has launched in Leigh, with residents throughout the Leigh and Atherton constituency set to benefit.

Based at Leigh Spinners Mill, The Uniformity Project stocks uniforms for schools across Leigh, Atherton, Golborne, Lowton, Tyldesley and Ashton-in-Makerfield.

Jo Platt, the MP for Leigh and Atherton, said: “I had a great chat with staff at the launch of The Uniformity Project. This fantastic initiative focuses on recycling used school uniforms, helping parents save on the high costs of buying new ones. This is another great social enterprise for the Leigh and Atherton area”

As well as saving local parents money, The Uniformity Project is doing its bit for the environment, by reusing perfectly good uniforms that would otherwise be sent to landfill.
